Track #1: Educational Track on Lead Poisoning Prevention and Lead Hazard Control Issues
- Interventions to identify and reduce lead exposure in high risk children
- Approaches to reducing lead exposure
- Addressing lead hazards via code enforcement
Track #2: Educational Track on Healthy Housing and Housing Inspection Issues
- Swimming pool health and safety guidelines focused on Licensed Multiple Family Dwellings
- Home safety audit measures for both multiple family dwellings and single family housing
- Asthma reduction initiatives

Track #1: Educational Track on Lead Poisoning Prevention and Lead Hazard Control Issues
- Dust enforcement/monitoring activities within LA County
- CAL OSHA’s exposure limits for lead workers and enforcement/monitoring of lead worker protection
- Other CA regulations affecting lead hazard control work
Track #2: Educational Track on Healthy Housing and Housing Inspection Issues
Presentation by a government agency representative to cover:
- IPM strategies and cockroach eradication
- Bed bugs and vermin identification and eradication
- Hoarding issues
12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. – Lunch on Your Own
1:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Two Concurrent Educational Tracks
Track #1: Educational Track on Lead Poisoning Prevention and Lead Hazard Control Issues
- Two hour workshop on current lead abatement methods, procedures, equipment and materials with product demonstrations
- Lead in spices, home remedies and foods
Track #2: Educational Track on Healthy Housing and Housing Inspections Issues
- Radon and mold issues including updates on CA and local enforcement guidelines
- Silica Rules and other regulations that are changing California
- Dangers of improperly functioning HVAC systems
